Development and Preservation Fund

Online applications for the Spring 2024 cycle of the Development and Preservation Fund were accepted February 1st–March 1st, with funding decisions to be announced at the end of May.

Eligible request types included both short- and long-term loans for local affordable housing projects, in addition to specific programmatic, planning, and project-based grant opportunities for housing-supportive nonprofits.

Alongside funds made possible through our ARPA partnership with the City of Omaha, this round introduces additional philanthropic dollars beyond the private ARPA match. As such, loan applications for projects in the Greater Omaha Metro that fall outside of Omaha city limits were eligible for consideration.

Application Guidance

• Thoroughly read and respond to all supplemental questions and guidelines beneath each answer field.
• Most fields do not contain word or character limits. This allows you to write what you need without worrying about cutting down words to fit or adding unnecessary fluff to reach an excessive goal. Please keep your written responses clear and concise, while making sure to fully address each question.
• If utilizing AI tools for writing support, carefully review and edit generated responses to ensure the information presented in your application is 100% accurate to your project, proposal, and plans.
• Prepare and save answers in a Word document first, then copy/paste as needed. This safeguards your responses in the event you run into technical difficulties.
• All uploads must be submitted in PDF form.
• Use spell check and refrain from typing in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS.
